Valve welding inspection is generally divided into two parts:

1. Document review

WPS, PQR, welder quality WPQ are required.

Whether the WPS provided covers important variants such as base metal, welding consumables, welding methods, groove form, thickness, preheating, post-weld heat treatment and other important elements required by the order.

The WPS rated according to ASME Volume IX and NB/T47014 has corresponding important variantization regulations. Important element changes must be reassessed.

2. Inspection of on-site welding

VT (visual inspection) is usually used to check for obvious welding defects such as cracks, undercuts, weld tumors, poor forming, burn-through, splashes, etc.

If the sealing surface is surfacing welded, PT is usually used to check whether there are cracks, and the hardness of the sealing surface needs to be tested;

Check the welding of the valve seat and valve body, basically as long as the appearance is flat, there is no undercut, misalignment and welding tumor.

Check structural welding such as extended pipes, and when the order is required, RT or UT inspection of internal quality is required.
